Veil of Ignorance Paper

My time spent in Philosophical Ethics with Dr. Brelje gave me the tools to think critically about fairness, justice, and moral reasoning- skills that apply far beyond the classroom. Additionally, writing about the Veil of Ignorance taught me how to analyze complex ethical questions from multiple perspectives, which is something I will be able to carry into my professional life. I decided to write about the Veil of Ignorance because it stuck out to me more than some of the other theories in class. It offered another way to consider the impacts a decision could have by removing as much personal bias as possible. While not a foolproof theory, it’s a powerful thought experiment when utilized correctly, as well as an interesting topic to research.
